About TOP employers

The CV-Online career portal has been organising the TOP Employer Awards in the three Baltic States for more than a decade. The TOP Employers Awards have been held in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, each with different evaluation criteria.

From 2025, CV-Online will select the TOP employers in the three Baltic countries according to the same methodology currently applied in Latvia. This harmonised approach aims to ensure consistency and comparability in the recognition of TOP employers in the region. By harmonising the evaluation methodology, the awards will become a reliable and clear benchmark for the Baltic labour market.

TOP Employer is an annual ranking of the best and most attractive employers in Lithuania, based on the assessments of employees (job seekers, current and former employees). We identify the best employers in 12 different categories, including first-choice companies (the main category) and companies nominated for voting in different business sectors and regions of Lithuania, selected according to a special methodology. Voting for employers takes place at the beginning of the year through an online survey, which usually involves a large number of respondents.

The TOP 3 employers in each category receive a special “TOP Employer” digital badge, which the company can use in its recruitment efforts, for example, in the careers section of its website, in job advertisements, at events and elsewhere. In addition, other employers that make it to the TOP 50 list in the main category (Top-of-Mind) also receive a digital stamp confirming their status as one of the best employers in Lithuania.

The main objective of the project is to help employers to position themselves on the labour market from the perspective of employees and candidates and to promote their employer brand. It also allows employees to participate in the development of the labour market by evaluating different employers, acting as ambassadors of their company’s employer image, and by creating useful information material to help them choose their next job and develop their career.
